Ravi hails from India. He received his Bachelors in Computer Science there, and worked for 3 years as a Software Engineer. Although things were going great, he wanted to explore the gaming industry and put his skills to use in a more creative endeavor. Thus he came to USC to pursue a Masters in Computer Science focusing in Game Development.

The two years at USC have taught him many things about making games: engineering, art, design, music, production, and most importantly, team work! He interned at Sony, working on PS4 technology. It was a great learning experience for him.

Now he feels ready to join a AAA game studio and help make the next awesome game!
In his spare time, Ravi enjoys making games, consuming anime/manga and playing soccer.

Kashyap enroutes from the Beautiful City of Lakes - Udaipur, India. He earned his Bachelors in Computer Science from India and worked as a Software Engineer for two years. The work was fine but not enticing, playing games was. And then he decided to pursue his career as a Game Developer. USC was the obvious choice but the path forward was not easy. Thus despite all odds he decided to become Master in Game Development at USC.

The tough training at USC has moulded him to become a Game Developer and he has gained a fair amount of knowledge about Game Engine Component Development, Graphics Programming, Game Engines like Unity and Unreal Engine 4, Console Game Development. His hard work resulted in getting Summer Internship at Autodesk wherein he worked as Graphics Software Engineer.

The journey of becoming a Game Developer has just started for him and it feels he is on a right track. In free time, Kashyap likes to play outdoor sports like Basketball and Soccer. But if he doesn’t feel like going out then a Third-Person action adventure game is what he likes to play and then there is EA Sports FIFA tournaments with friends.

Currently a master student at USC majoring in Computer Science Game Development, devoted too much of my life into designing, programming and playing games that I sometimes question myself whether I have a life other than gaming. In Apophis I am a gameplay engineer that deal with both C++ and blueprint events to implement mechanics such as life giving and life taking. I also deal with materials, post processing and particles to convey information without burdening players with text. Besides Apophis, I have also worked on other game projects including League of Legends as designer and engineer. Other than playing games, I design one page dungeon and other games in my spare time, I also watch old European movies and read classic novels. My coding playlist consists of U2, Nirvana, Nier soundtrack and Sheena Ringo.

Game Design

Art

I am currently an undergraduate at Laguna College of Art and Design. I can work with both traditional and digital mediums as well as some basic 3D modeling. I believe communication is extremely vital in a team so I want to make sure that I can communicate well and be honest in general when it comes to design decisions (what good is a character design if you don’t want to play as them?) . My strengths are in creatures and animals, but that doesn’t mean I’m not willing to work on other things! In my spare time - other than playing video games - I like to read comics, make origami, and drawing scary monsters.
